Privacy policy and data processing

At Johnsoft we respect your privacy. This policy explains, in plain terms, which personal data we collect through this website, what we use it for, how long we keep it and what your rights are, in accordance with Colombian Law 1581 of 2012 and its implementing regulations.

1. Data controller

Johnsoft is the trade name of Jhon Edwin Gómez Marín, an individual domiciled in Manizales, Caldas, Colombia, who acts as the controller of the personal data collected through this website.

Controller contact details:

  • Email: ceo [at] johnsoft.com.co
  • Phone: visible when JavaScript is enabled

2. What do we store?

We only keep information when you decide to send it. Your data is stored only at the moment you click the "Send message" button; if you fill in the form but do not send it, we do not receive or keep anything.

The personal data we receive is:

  • Name (or your company name).
  • Email address.
  • Mobile phone number, together with its international dialing code (prefix).
  • The type of service you are interested in.
  • Whether you already have a domain and whether you already have a logo, fonts and colors ("yes" or "no" answers).
  • Message (optional, up to 255 characters): whatever you choose to tell us about your business, your need or your project.

Together with your message we automatically receive, solely for security purposes and as proof of your authorization: the date and time at which you accepted the processing of your data and the terms and conditions, your IP address and the result of the anti-spam check (reCAPTCHA).

Use of the dialing code. We use the dialing code of your number only as a starting point to identify your country, so that we can reply in the right language and currency (for example, when preparing your quote). We do not use it for any other purpose.

Your data reaches our email inbox; this site does not keep its own database of contacts. We do not request sensitive data (such as health, ethnic origin or beliefs) and this site is not directed at minors; please do not include that information in your message.

3. What do we use the collected information for?

We use your information to:

  • Reply to your message and contact you by email, phone or WhatsApp to schedule the meeting.
  • Prepare the quote or proposal for your project.
  • If the project moves forward, manage its development, your payments and the delivery.

Johnsoft does not sell or share your information with third parties for commercial purposes.

We only share it with technology providers that help us operate this site and our email (for example, hosting, email and Google reCAPTCHA), who process it solely to provide that service to us, or when a competent authority requires it by law.

4. How long will my data be kept?

We keep your data for as long as it is needed to reply to you.

If we work together, we keep it during the development of the project and for as long as our accounting and tax obligations require.

If we do not move forward, we delete your data when you ask us to.

5. Your rights and how to exercise them

As the owner of the personal data, you have the right to:

  • Know, update and correct your data.
  • Request proof of the authorization you gave us.
  • Be informed about how we use your data.
  • Revoke your authorization and request the deletion of your data, unless we must keep it because of a legal or contractual duty.
  • File complaints with the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC).

To exercise these rights, write to us at the email address listed in the "Data controller" section or through the contact form on this site, stating your request and the email address you previously used to contact us, if you did. We will answer inquiries within a maximum of ten (10) business days and claims within a maximum of fifteen (15) business days from receipt.

6. Cookies

To learn which cookies this site uses and how to manage them, see the cookie policy.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when necessary. The current version will always be published on this page, with its update date.
